Abraham Lincoln's Middle Name

William Lamson makes some terrific things. There are some of his short films that show before the Stranger Than Fiction series at the IFC Center. Maybe they show before all of the movies shown at that theater, I am not sure. They should because they are fun to see. I think that some of his work is going to be on the next issue of Wholphin.

The movie Be Kind Rewind is very good. Mia Farrow was in it and I think did a good job. The movie Paranoid Park is also really good. It made me think about footage in this film from PRETTY Skateboards, that the artist Michael Worful was involved with. He makes good paintings and has good handwriting. I think he is working on a simple and elaborate website as we speak.

There was a screening for the film For All Mankind tonight at the IFC Center. That film is really exciting to watch.

Derek Erdman is in a movie. Whoa.

There is a piece in the times about the Scott's oriole that is in (or was in, and is now frozen) Union Square. It is kind of an exciting thing I think. I was walking by Union Square a couple weeks ago when I noticed the crowd. I thought that maybe there was a celebrity the people were trying to get a look at when I first saw the group of people with their cameras. I walked over to see what they were looking at and noticed they were circled around the Gandhi sculpture. I then asked a man with binoculars what everyone was looking at. He told me about the Scott's oriole and was nice enough to bear with me as I tried to find it in the bush right in front of the bronze Gandhi. I saw it and was actually kind of excited. He told me how lucky I was to see it in the city. I did feel kind of lucky. I was also happy to meet someone who was nice and patient while I was acting like a dufus. If you go to look for it I hope you find it--or at least there is a nice person there to point it out.

On the next page of the times there is a piece (with four pictures) about the work of JeongMee Yoon. She is a really interesting photographer that is having a show at Jenkins Johnson Gallery that opens on March 8.

The original scroll of Jack Kerouac's On The Road is on view right now at the library at 42nd Street. You can only see a portion of it because the whole thing is 120 feet (the room isn't that big)! They have some other really interesting Kerouac things (his crutches used after a football injury at Columbia)--and some great memorabilia from other writers.

The scroll will only be on view through this Sunday the 24th, I am sorry I posted this so late in the exhibition, I hope you get to see it if you want to.

This exhibition has some intense drawing. It is the artist Eduardo Santiere and it is at Haim Chanin on 19th Street.

Total Lunar Eclipse

It is exciting to look at the moon right now. Hope everyone gets to see it. If you are in San Francisco and are eating leftover Indian food I am so sorry that it is cloudy.

Giraffes and Little Dogs.

Someone posted a portion of the giraffe film on the internet. They took it from the Wholphin website. This is ok. If everyone I know goes to youtube and watches the film all the way through the play count will go through the roof (9).

There is a film called The Unforeseen that will be at the Angelika on February 29. It is really good and I hope you go see it and enjoy it. If you are not near the Angelika it will hopefully come to you soon.

Amy Stein has a SOLO show up in Los Angeles RIGHT NOW. If you are near there I have a feeling it is awesome.

Jerstin just put together a book called Copy Rats. It looks really good.

If you are getting married or having a Bar Mitzvah this is where you can get all of your printing done.

The Hand Project

I am excited to announce a 20x200 edition that just came out. The people at Jen Bekman Gallery and 20x200 have been outstanding to work with. My edition is right here. Please also do check out some of the other ones that are on the site. Dustin has a terrific one and Noah Kalina's is another one of my favorites. If anybody has any questions about the edition please do not hesitate to contact me at or contact 20x200 about the editions here:
