Eric Hanson is one of my favorite artists. There is a nice piece about him today on the website "from the desk of. . .". That is his drawing above. More of his work can be seen here and here.

Derek Erdman put some new paintings on his website. The above one is not new, but it is still one of my favorites. Sometimes I wish I lived in Seattle so I could hang out and eat Thai food with Derek and buy huge paintings from him and put them all over my house.

There is an exhibition of text based work at ZieherSmith right now that Dakin Hart put together. It is called Sculpture In So Many Words. There are a lot of exciting pieces in the show.

Hope Gangloff has a new batch of paintings (I am always a fan of her work) at Susan Inglett on 24th Street.
