There was a screening of the film O homem que engarrafava nuvens (The Man Who Bottled Clouds) tonight at the Museum of Modern Art. There is a scene in it with an accordian repairman that I really liked. David Byrne is also in the film and I am always excited to see the things he is involved with. A new album that he made with Brian Eno called Everything That Happens Will Happen Today is going to be available on August 18. A free song will be available August 4.

I am excited to be working on a project right now with Esopus Magazine. The project is a collaboration between the subscribers to the magazine and me. Esopus comes out twice a year. There have been ten issues so far. Each one is beautiful (I find myself being extra careful as I turn the pages of a new issue.) If you are not already a subscriber you can become one right here.

The letter that went out earlier in the week is below. If you would like to subscribe and take part in this project (It will be nice to work with YOU) send an email to jason@esopusmag.com with your "thing" by this Tuesday, July 15.

I just received this print from Melanie Flood. It is beautiful and I was excited to get it. She recently started a project where she is giving away prints of her work. It is worth checking back to her site often to get one of them and to see the various stuff she finds and is working on.

Ofer Wolberger writes a smart and interesting blog here. He recently wrote about his feelings in regards to one of the directions photography and phographers are moving in. I thought it was an interesting article (Ofer produces amazing work and I was curious to read about his view on these things), which brings up a lot of ideas that I think a lot of people might be thinking.

There is a video for The Ornithology Show at Jen Bekman Gallery that you can watch here. Jen gives you a tour of the exhibit. She talks about the piece I did at approximately 10 minutes 41 seconds but you should watch the whole thing!--and get down to the gallery if you are in the area. There are some very nice pieces in it by some terrific artists.

I like Jay Ryan a lot.

Criswell Lappin has a site with some of his design work. He has been making really interesting work for a while and I was excited to see his site.
