A 20x200 Edition was released today. It is called 132 Birds at The American Museum of Natural History. For the edition of 200 you get a book with a little hand drawn bird on the cover. On the inside is 132 birds from the museum. For the medium edition you get the book with a 12"x16" drawing of a one of the birds(done with an ink/paint concoction that I have been drawing with) and for the largest one (limited to 2) you get the book along with a 29.5"x39.5" drawing of one of the birds. I hope that you enjoy the edition.

There is an art show at the Grotto Gallerie this Saturday, the 20th, that looks like fun. Shawn Creeden is one of the curators. I do not know anyone who can draw a better walrus than him.

Also, this Thursday is the opening to the inaugural exhibition from Melanie Flood Projects. Oh my!

Mel Kadel has some drawings in Brooklyn right now. You can see them if you get there before October 5!

Travis Millard is also really good at drawing.

Leigh Ledare has a show at Rivington Arms right now on 2nd Street right near John Derian Company. Leigh is dealing with things that are intense and at times scary. The way he presents his work is incredible. The placement and attention to absolutely everything is worth seeing if you have a chance.

Lee Walton did a book signing at Strand Bookstore today.

There is a show up right now at Adam Baumgold Gallery on 79th Street with the work of Charles Burns. Burns is one of my favorite artists and this show is a great place to see a lot of his originals together. You really get the chance to see how good he is at drawing.

Tucker Nichols just started Anonymous Postcard. The way I look at this is:

1. Everyone in the world thinks about it and then sends Tucker a submission for a postcard.
2. Everyone also sends Tucker $6 (You do not have to send him anything, but I think this is a nice amount to cover shipping and time making, though, now that I am thinking about it, everyone should send Tucker $80).
3. The Project continues forever and makes the world better.

This is the back of a painting in a group show at Jonathan LeVine Gallery that opens this Saturday. It was organized by Jordin Isip and Rodger Stevens.

The painting is of the moment before President Kennedy was assassinated. It is taken from frame 226 of the Zapruder film. I wanted to make my piece the last moment before things changed. I wanted everyone to still be happy. Jackie Kennedy is still waving at the people on the left of the car and President Kennedy is still smiling at the people on the right side of the car. It is sunny out and everyone is excited to see the President.
